The IndiEarth XChange – Where Art Meets the World

When music meets film meets art meets the world – it can be certain, that an exchange of fascinating ideas, collaborations, and networks, will come of it all.  This is the essence, of the IndiEarth XChange – a global music and film conference, and a series of think tank sessions, that will bring together the Indian independent music and film industry, and key international delegates from developed and developing markets.  With over 80 delegates from around the world, and an eclectic line up of musicians and filmmakers, (who will all congregate at The Park Hotel between November 30th – December 2nd) – the conference’s primary aim, is to form a sort of global collective, that can provide networks between different countries, resulting in sustainable models of industry development, and infrastructure.  All this, for one purpose – to nurture culture, and the arts, from around the world.

The XChange will also feature a series of colourful performances by the musicians, and independent film screenings – both of which will be open to the public.  From the Baul poetry of Parvathy Baul, to the tribal dances of SingSing, to the folk-electronica of Business Class Refugees – the music will be as eclectic, as it is inspiring.  The delegates will include the likes of Romuald Requena from Sakifo records; French musicologist Jean-Noël Bigotti; Luke Kenny of 9XO/contributing editor to Rolling Stone Magazine; and Jastirath Julka – the creative head of Freedom Radio India, to name just a few.

An exchange of music, film, art and ideas –  a true testament, to India’s vibrant, and flourishing, independent arts scene!
