IndiEarth at The Park Launches

IndiEarth in association with The Park Chennai have launched a regular music performance series that features the finest of independent musical talent, a colourful spectrum of musicians from across India and around the world.

IndiEarth at The Park will be held every month, a series that features an eclectic melange of independent musicians from a variety of different genres. With the diverse programming and production signature that characterizes IndiEarth XChange, these nights are set to change Chennai’s musical landscape, offering audiences quality music experiences and independent musicians a platform to showcase their craft.

The series launches on Saturday, January 18th at The Park Chennai and will feature two talented Indian acts:

Singer/songwriter Sid Coutto – frontman for Tough on Tobacco and drummer for Ankur Tewari and The Ghalat Family, and Vir Das’ Alien Chutney – is currently developing a one man show which features him playing multiple instruments and creating entire arrangements on his own.

Bass heavy electronica outfit Bay Beat Collective (BBC) formed in 2008 and features many live artists. Sohail Arora and Kris Correya are a drum n bass / dub step act that have toured extensively, both nationally and internationally, and promise a hard hitting bass heavy high voltage performance.
