Sounds Of September: IndiEarth At The Park

“Thirty days hath September” – thirty days of what’s going to be a particularly musical month for us here at IndiEarth. EarthSync’s Covelong Point Classic Surf and Music Festival will be hitting Chennai from the 12th – 14th of September, but first – kick starting the month on Saturday, 6th of September – we’ve got our monthly gig series lined up, IndiEarth At The Park, with two very special artists planned for Chennai: Solder and Dualist Inquiry.

Described as “a unit of four drifters glued together by music” Solder emerged from Bangalore in 2009, and have been making their mark on India’s independent music scene ever since. The four member band – consisting of Siddarth Abraham, Sylvester Pradeep, Joel Rozario and Samson Phillip – create a groove-centred sound space, accentuated by raging guitar licks and intricate vocal melodies and harmonies. They are currently working on their debut album, and will be sharing their original sound with Chennai audiences on the lobby stage of The Park Chennai, starting at 8:30pm.

No stranger to the spotlight, Mr. Inquiry aka Sahej Bakshi, is one of India’s most well-known electronica live acts/producers. His audience friendly blend of guitar rock and electronica has garnered him much attention for his two EP releases to date – Dualism EP (2011) and Doppelganger (2013). His most recent single – Lumina – features his vocal debut, and a music video shot in Los Angeles. He’ll rock your socks (and the night) at The Leather Bar starting at 10 pm.

So come together this Saturday, 6th of September , in celebration of what’s going to be a mad musical month for the city of Chennai!
